Enjoy Vacuum Cleaning Luxury with Intelligent Robotic Vacuum Cleaners

Review of Robotic Vacuums

Owning a robotic vacuum cleaner is truly a luxury within itself.  Vacuuming and cleaning the carpet without actually operating it?  Yes!  It’s possible due to the high intelligence of robotic vacuums and the good news is that this technology is readily available for sale.

Robotic vacuums are bag less and are fully up and running at the touch of a button and can be used to vacuum floors and carpets.  With sensors all over the vacuum, it is immediately alerted to the presence of dirt and debris on the floor and under beds, sofas, and tables.

These same sensors are programmed to keep the vacuum from falling off stairs and bumping into furniture in models like the Electrolux Trilobite.  Robotic vacuum cleaners literally learn the layout of your home to ensure optimal results.

Models like the iRobot Roomba Discovery 510 shut off when full so you don’t have to worry about it running nonstop.  Some can also be programmed to run for a specified amount of time.  Other models also allow programming of the cleaning power for light cleaning or heavy duty cleaning.

Choosing the Best Robotic Vacuum

If having a bagless vacuum cleaner is important then a robotic vacuum is a good choice but not all robotic vacuums meet their expectations.  Better performance is seen in the more expensive vacuum cleaners.  Cheaper robotic vacuums seem to fall short in their sensing ability and will randomly bump into walls and furniture.

The Electrolux Trilobite is a high end robotic vacuum cleaner with an expensive price tag. Running in at $1800 can be a cause of concern for those who are looking for more inexpensive ones. The high price tag is due to its superb intelligent technology and mapping abilities. It has some of the best performing sensors compared to other robotic vacuum cleaners, allowing it to stop within ¼” inch of walls and furniture, keeping your table legs and baseboards from getting scratched and damaged. The Trilobite also knows when it has already gone over an area of the floor and this reduces the vacuuming time by avoiding spots already cleaned.

Less expensive are the popular iRobot Roomba models. The price varies on these models from $100 to over $500 so finding one in your budget is more likely. Common problems noted in consumer reviews include the debris power – larger debris is more likely to get stuck in the vacuum, the sensors – the vacuum tends to pass over the same spots repeatedly, and the charge time. Nevertheless, Roomba models are great at vacuuming high traffic areas and uncluttered rooms all while remaining wallet friendly.
